About This Message
El-Ezer, Day 9 is a message by Apostle Joshua Selman on the help of God and why no one succeeds in life and destiny without it.
Apostle Selman begins with the knowledge of God, showing from Daniel 11:32 that those who know their God are strong and do exploits, and he names four channels through which God can be known: the Scriptures, His names, the man Jesus, and personal experience. He then introduces the name El-Ezer, “God my helper,” and explains its three dimensions: support and assistance, strength and empowerment, and rescue and deliverance. Drawing on Hebrews 4:16 and the story of the man at Bethesda, he teaches that God’s help is defined by timing and significance, because help that comes too late, or at too small a level, does not change the outcome.
The message also explains why we need help: even the best of men are limited, human factors can veto obedience and diligence, and demonic forces are at work against destiny. It closes with five channels through which God helps: supernatural intervention, the ministry of angels, the ministry of men, the prophetic, and the Holy Spirit. Along the way, Apostle Selman speaks on honouring the people God positions around us, and on the way scars and adversity can become the platform for destiny.
