About This Message
The Foundation of National Culture — Part 1 is a teaching by Dr. Myles Munroe on how law, not sentiment, is what actually produces a nation’s culture.
Dr. Munroe begins with a simple observation: nothing in life begins independent — not a child in the womb, not an animal, not a nation. Every nation starts out dependent, and it is the law of the governing kingdom that shapes what that dependency looks like. Using the Bahamas’ own journey from British colony to independent nation as a living case study, he traces how colonization works, what a people actually reject when they declare independence, and why “culture” cannot simply be invented on demand.
From there, the message turns to Scripture: Adam was placed on earth as heaven’s colonial administrator, with the Holy Spirit as heaven’s governor within him. When Adam fell, he did not lose a religion — he lost a kingdom, a nation, a government, a moral code, and a culture. Dr. Munroe teaches that this is exactly what Christ, the Second Adam, came to restore, and that prayer itself — “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven” — is a petition for heaven’s law and culture to recolonize the earth.

Dr. Myles Munroe, OBE, was a Bahamian teacher, ordained minister, professor, author, speaker, and leadership consultant. He founded and led Bahamas Faith Ministries International (BFMI) and Myles Munroe International (MMI), and served as chief executive officer and chairman of the board of the International Third World Leaders Association, as well as president of the International Leadership Training Institute. He was widely known for his teaching on the Kingdom of God, leadership, purpose, and personal development, and remains one of the most widely read voices on Kingdom government and national transformation.
