About This Message
Engaging the Armour of Light for Total Deliverance is a message by Bishop David Oyedepo on light as the believer’s most effective weapon against oppression, torment, and bondage.
Opening from Isaiah 52:1–3’s charge to “awake” and “shake thyself from the dust,” Bishop Oyedepo teaches that the enemy takes advantage of a believer’s sleeping, unaware state, and that freedom begins the moment a person awakes to who they are and what has been done for them in Christ. He builds from there into the central claim of the message: light does not struggle to set anyone free — it exposes darkness effortlessly, and darkness cannot comprehend or withstand it.
From there, the message moves into the legal and spiritual basis for that freedom — that Satan lost his dominion the day Jesus redeemed mankind, and that believers are raised and seated far above principalities and powers, in a place darkness has no authority to touch. Bishop Oyedepo outlines three garments of liberty — salvation, righteousness, and praise — and identifies the whole armour of God as, fundamentally, the armour of light. The message closes with a charge to walk in that liberty through repentance, the blood of Jesus, and praise.
About the Preacher
Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo is the Founder and Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners’ Chapel International, with a global network of churches spread across all continents.
A visionary leader and apostle of faith, Bishop Oyedepo received the divine mandate in 1981 to liberate the world from oppression through the preaching of the Word of Faith. Since that time, his ministry has remained a living proof of that commission — raising men and women of stature, excellence, and Kingdom relevance across nations. He is married to Faith Abiola Oyedepo, a dynamic teacher and co-labourer in the gospel, and together they are blessed with children and grandchildren — all serving the Lord.

Key Scripture
Ephesians 6:10–11
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
Bishop Oyedepo builds the message toward this passage, identifying the whole armour of God as, at its root, the armour of light — a force darkness cannot endure.
