About This Message
The Ministry of Light (The Journey Beyond Salvation) is a message by Apostle Joshua Selman on why many born-again believers never experience the victorious life in Christ, and what it takes to move from salvation into liberty.
After an opening prayer and prophetic charge, Apostle Selman states the problem plainly: some believers are saved yet live frustrated, discouraged, and defeated lives, and if your life were the only window through which people saw God, many would turn away. He builds the answer on John 8:32, “ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free,” which he breaks into two parts: the believer’s responsibility to know the truth, and God’s responsibility to bring the freedom the truth carries.
The message then explains that the new birth gives a believer access, not totality, and that the journey beyond salvation involves three steps: gaining access to the truth through the Word, the Holy Spirit, and the teaching priest; hearing and receiving it; and submitting to transformation. Apostle Selman teaches that the quality of a believer’s life reflects their belief systems and mindset, and that transformation of the mind is where victory is won or lost. It closes with the goal of God’s plan: every believer becoming an experiential manifestation of His glory.
