About This Message
Unmoved is a message by Keith Moore built on Psalm 112, Acts 20:22–24, and John 14:27.
Keith Moore opens with a prayer for utterance and a call to be doers of the Word, then takes the believer to Psalm 112, where the righteous man hears evil tidings but is “not afraid” because his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. He shows that you cannot control the bad reports that come, but you can control your response to them.
From Acts 20, he draws on Paul’s declaration, “None of these things move me,” and from Matthew 24 and Luke 21, he shows that Jesus’ instruction in the face of wars and rumors of wars is to see to it that you are not troubled.
In Psalm 37 and James 1, he explains why fretting, frustration, and getting upset are not faith, and why the wavering heart cannot receive from the Lord. He looks at the story of Martha in Luke 10 as a classic example of a good person led astray by upset, and closes in John 14 with the peace Jesus leaves with every believer.
